Tomato, garlic, and peppers blend together for a sophisticated flavor. Simply add cream cheese, then heat and serve for a delicious dip.
1 pkg. Chili con Queso Dip Mix
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
12 large jalapenos
6 strips bacon (cooked crisp and chopped)
Preheat oven to 400° F. Combine dip mix with softened cream cheese and blend until smooth. Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Spoon cream cheese mixture into jalapenos and place on a baking sheet; sprinkle with bacon. Bake for about 10 minutes or until jalapenos are tender.
Tip:Place cream cheese mixture into a re-sealable bag, remove air and close. Cut off tip of bag and use as a pastry bag to squeeze cream cheese onto jalapenos.
Note: Stuffed jalapenos may be grilled instead by placing them directly on grill until tender (about 5 minutes).
